Thinking about growing it out again but with just the sides shaved instead of the sides AND back, on some Matt Healy shit. I think I have the right hair type for it. What do you guys think?

Okay, guys. I know I've come into hair threads in the past saying I was gonna buzz, but you guys talked me out of it last time. I still kinda want to but I'm gonna weigh some other options first.

The only reason I'm cutting it is because of one problem: the shaved part is shaved up too high. Not enough hair falls naturally downward in the back. I have to make a little bit of hair that naturally goes forward go backward to make the back fuller. How would I go about fixing that? Should I cut the top down to about half of what is and get a fade on the back and sides until they catch up? That's the only other solution I can think of other than buzzing it.

So a while ago someone posted this in a hair general thread but I didn't get a chance to respond cause I was on clover and the captcha sucked.

Anybody know how to go about growing hair to style it this way or any better pictures?

When I first posted this picture, I said I was thinking of getting a buzz. Everyone told me not to BUT I'M GONNA DO IT ANYWAY. Will post results. Not doing it until tomorrow though.

Every time my picture gets posted, it catches me off guard.

Anyway, need help. I want the sides and back to not be shaved up as far. What's the best way to fix this? Buzz? Just let it grow? What do?
