Why is it considered such a fashion crime for a man to wear TIGHTS?

It makes no sense at all.

Tights are the best, lightweight AND warming at the same time. They also quite literally make you feel like you're wearing nothing at all.

But then the PC police come along and say men can't wear tights, saying it's 'gay' and 'lewd' and whatnot. And if I man must wear tights for athletic purposes, they have to be black and have pointless angular lines drawn on them to make them 'less gay.' But there's nothing GAY about TIGHTS in the first place.

I'm actually seriously thinking about starting a movement dedicated to increasing acceptance of men in TIGHTS.

Also, please share your theories as to how it became 'gay' for men to wear tights (do recall back in the olden days it was completely normal).
