I'm the GS anon who responded to the other anon's travel query.

Honestly, anyone who would ask "what's so fucking great about travel, I can fuck whores right here in my backyard" is exactly the opposite sort of person who would understand anything I have to say, so I won't bother.

That said, sometimes I'm on the other side of the world, and I see a sunset, and it looks very similar to a sunset at home, and rather than feeling cheated out of my time and money and effort, I feel a sense of universal communion with the cosmos, a feeling of brotherhood and commonality. I'm like, "Hey that's cool... their sunsets are much the same as my sunsets. Same sun. Nice." Then I go eat some food that I've never had before, and enjoy that too.
