The Omega 3861 is coaxial, the Lemania 1873 isn't. The Tag is the 1996 first re-edition with the white dial (they had black dial and other configs too), and the Lemania 1873 had Omega variants (861/863) with 18 jewels, longer power reserve, etc.

The two watches are about 25 years apart in tech and capability. The price for the Tag is fair if the piece is NOS.

Here's what I did:
1) Buy used from Japan, lowest possible price with full bracelet (that is very important if you have big wrists like me). Box and papers are not important if it's an 1861.
2) Once received, send it to Omega to do a full service. Let them replace what they think they need to replace (i.e. bezel, crystal, and other exterior cosmetic things).
3) Wear a new 1861 and enjoy for life.

If you buy a new 1861, you pay a premium...but I'm not sure what for. As for 'buy at all'? Consider that the Speedy is, by some statistics, the most traded watch on the grey market. It's the most sold, and the most bought, so that gives you an idea. The demand is always there, but also there seems to always be a 'mistake' demand where people buy and then want to sell after a while.

Anon here >>17914182 did a great post. I'd only mention that the winding is a problem on 1861s because they made the crown smaller in the 70s, so all 1861s suffer from this. If you get a vintage 321 though (145.012, 105.012, or earlier), then you don't have this problem. Similarly, water resistance is to 50m, which is fine for everyday use and even for swimming. JUST BE SURE TO CHECK THE GASKETS before going in the water (i.e. have the watch pressure tested), and never take a vintage watch in the water at all. My modern 1861 has seen water and has had no ill effects.

Though I own both vintage and modern, I find the modern one has become something of a 'get shit done watch' that I don't worry about when on the wrist. The vintage one I have to be more careful with, of course. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Good luck!

It's called a 'Swiss Timer', and it was made for a short period in the 90s; 2 colours (red/black), and two clocks (roman numerals and arabic). It has the tools of a swiss champ minus the tweezers (due to the lack of space on the front plastic cover), and was for a time the most complicated one they produced. Mine came in the Deluxe SOS pouch. I'll try to get a shot or two soon with some watches. The SAK has served me for decades, and is a good friend...lol

Eventually Victorinox did the digital thing, and even added a lighter. Fun stuff.

Gotcha, senpai. Happy to help. I also forgot to mention; the original 3861 came with the normal new bracelet, but eventually they put it on the one that had micro-adjustments on the slide, so new ones from an AD will have the adjustable bracelet, but there is no guarantee an old grey-market one will have that, so make sure to look for it when you start searching.
