Tap into that numbing feeling it gives you, keep yourself busy- but try to not look at things related to food. For me at least the hardest part is in the evenings, the later i stay up the stronger the urge to cave and have a snack. So i'd suggest going to bed early maybe. If you live alone tossing all tempting food out could be another option. Having a timer on your phone for how long you've gone without food can be very motivating too.
