These are my clothes

I don't know what category of "style" to put it in. Slim fit, minimalistic, non offensive colours.

Years of trial and error, finding what works best for your overall vibe, body type, etc. Went to h&m alot in my earlier years, yeah their clothes are cheap and low quality but it can help you in the beginning phases in discovering which silhouete you would like to achieve, which colours you like most, what works best on your skin tone and hair colour, which type of clothes work best for you, etc. After this phase you can invest in higher quality pieces that you know will look good on you.

As cliche and common sense it sounds, people should invest more time in what style they really want to go for, instead of always buying what's "trendy" or being advised here on /fa/. You were born with a taste, at the end of the day you should follow that but take into consideration what others say and advice, too.
