good taste OP

I usually spend $500-2000 when it changes to s/s and once again in f/w without much shopping in between. I try to sell stuff I didn't wear the previous year before buying more things

My parents cover my tuition and rent so it's pretty easy going. I work part time at a bookstore and save food money living off soylent

I got my hands on a sewing machine though. One day when I get the time, I'm going to learn to produce all my own clothes.

docs aren't meme shoes imo. it's like calling chucks meme shoes. it doesn't matter if the make is converse or watanabe or ricks or whatever, they're just a classic shape

something like palladiums or desert boots can't be called classic. they're not timeless and they simply don't work in fits EXCEPT with the value of signaling adherence to a contemporary trend, which is obviously something that's unsustainable and what I think is definitive of a "meme" anything.

coming from a heritage lineage, and not high fashion, their value in a fit is primarily in its evocations. docs, for example, can be used to engage and reference various historical looks, in the way stoney's can be used to evoke hooliganism among other things. timberlands, etc. have similar fashion-subcultural connections. they transcend just being meme shoes.

otherwise they can be divorced from context and, like >>11171358 suggested, used to generate a new look following some other aesthetic indicators. that's how i see things these days anyway, desu your face is really cute
