You have great hair, it looks good on you bro, that "river phoenix meets johnny depp" style is gonna be trending soon, gooks are already using it.
I think you can grow it a bit more on top, since your hair is straight it doesn't look bad, and then let the whole hair grow a bit so you can end with something like pic related, or just keep trimming the top and getting the fade, it looks good both ways.
