What tattoo to get:

The current trend in tattooing is small, realistic and dainty tattoos, or photo realistic paintings that look extremely impressive in photos online. However, they all turn to shit.

Even two of the best artists in the world who do these tattoos, dan grillo and anil gupta admit that these tattoos might last only a year, and serves a main purpose of taking photos to look pretty online.

If you want a tattoo to last, put a black outline around it. Ink spreads over time, and causes the image to distort. Many realistic tattoos that look like paintings have no outline, and turn to shit and lose their shape.

If there's a black line around it, the ink will still spread but the line expands too, retaining its structure .

Many people argue that you can just go for a touch up. You can only do maybe 4-5 touch ups because your skin is torn even further ever time and existing scar tissue can be reopened. If you get it done right the first time and heal it, you'll only need a touch up every 6 years, and then you'll be too old to care

I could go on but if you want a tattoo that lasts, find an artist online (have to admit that Instagram is the best way these days )

look for: photos of healed tattoos and photos of fresh tattoos without stupid filters applied to make it look better.

The number of followers doesn't mean an artist is better. It just means their designs are more popular. Find the right artist for your tattoo, even if you have to travel to get it.
