This is one of my favourite ambers that I own, and I own quite a few (ambra aurea, grand soir etc).

There's no arab/eastern association to Ambre Khandjar at all even though it's branded that way, it's a very, very dense amber with prominent (boozy, though I hate this description) plum. if you like thick ambers at all, then you'll love this one. it's sort of like Ambre Russe, but a fruity one.

Yes, I'm about to order a bottle from Ecuacion for winter - I went through a 5 ml last year and it's one of the better vanilla scents, if not best. I don't know why you'd associate this with DHI since this has 0 powderiness/iris in it. But nice that you brought it up, Aura Perfume just released a new frag called Gwen a while ago, check it out.

>what should i expect to pay for a decent 100ml perfume?
this is an ill-defined question; the price of a fragrance is dependent on multiple factors (house, hype, how long it's been on the market etc.) and what your expectations are for a fragrance (age, what occasions you use it for etc). I'd consider BI a "decent" perfume, which costs around 70ish euros a bottle, but if you are looking for a "decent perfume" for more formal occasions, you might need to switch house to something more expensive.

> how long does will the bottle last?
around 1.5 to 2 years depending on your usage

>I study law. As a daily fragrance. Don't mind swapping perfumes when a new season comes around. I dress casual or smart-casual.

i'd go with something aromatic in the direction of casual fougeres (is platinum egoiste too mature?) maybe some guerlain? though I'd still like to recommend BI

>Mancera Instant Crush seems to be awesome tho

it's a relatively sweet, cloying fragrance which you might not enjoy after your first 5ml. but yeah, i don't think i can help you further by the looks of your decision making process. good luck!
