Anon it's not really that big of a deal, it doesn't really take anything away from the film knowing that Bateman is wearing a Seiko as a prop stand-in for a Datejust, the reality is that most of the time companies are actually thrilled to have their products shown in films, often even paying for the privilege to have their brand on full display to the audience, it's just in specific films with specific brands, they just can't show brand names.

Actually the widespread product placement shoehorned into films I think is worse than brands requesting to not be shown in a film.
