this is true. i've found a great deal of nice ties for a dollar each at thrift stores, so thats definitely my first choice

I got the tie in picrel from aliexpress, and I think it's pretty nice.
I think really my only requirements I have out of my ties is that they aren't overly soft, thickly-lined, and the pattern of the tie is actually a woven texture and not printed on. This tie meets all those criteria for me.
I've got a bluish grey shirt that this goes really nice with it too
