Went to the store to test them side by side since I don't own Aventus.

On the first Aventus spray, it immediately reminded me of CDNI. But instead of the rancid smell CDNI project in the first minutes, Aventus has a pleasant, light, bergamot/fruity smell.

After some time they do become alike but not quite. If you were smelling it just passing by, or close to the person you couldn't tell the difference. If you smell more closely, Aventus is more lighter and fruitier, where CDNI smells far heavier and the ambroxan/ambergris is a lot more prominent.

As a conclusion, Aventus is the superior smell because it's more lighter and therefore more pleasant than CDNI. But, would I buy Aventus when you could buy CDNI for as low as 22 € (+shipping)? Nope. You get almost 95% of the Aventus once you power trough the first several minutes.
