Part of the reason why they're expensive if because of massive import taxes of goods coming from japan. If you bought the same Iron Heart flannel in japan, it would cost about $200 instead of $350-380. The issue is that Iron Heart has completely niggered their operations so that people in western countries are legally not allowed to purchase their goods directly from japan.

That said, the Iron Heart flannel has amazing construction and hardware, perfected cuts, beautiful patterns and colorways, the perfect weight of fabric, and its incredibly comfortable due to the softness of the interior side of the fabric. When you see one in person, there's just a lot of detail in it that you can't really see through photos.
