Even Arc'Teryx makes them. If I'm understanding what's going on here correctly, that's a combined pocket and vent zip, which I'm not sure how I feel about it.

That is what's going on, right? I've seen people do it with hardshell jackets for good reason and effect but it seems ill advised on training pants.

These aren't very tapered; just illustrating what's out there. I'm not sure how tailoring them would work out with the articulation. You'd have to start very low.
