The thread has taken this kind of flow just because you’re assuming that OP is a girl.
If it was a guy to post questions like: “Is it ok to keep my beard/moustache?”, “is it ok to paint my nails?” you would immediately go apeshit crazy and call him an *autist* or whatever.

Women privilege, ladies and gentlemen.

This basically sums it up: if you are a woman, you’re entitled to do whatever you feel comfortable to and whatever you like. There will always be someone, somewhere, who appreciates you - “someone” being “a very large amount of people”. If you’re a guy, you should and must be always on the top of yourself, judging every little thing and trying not to stand out, trying not to be too low-profile and generic and stuff. If you don’t, you’d end up being an “autist”.
