Between the two exact models I'd take the orient star. They are generally very reliable. The orient star movements are less studied, with only their simpler winding mechanism being of note. Anecdotally some people with both orient and seiko watches say that orient is a bit more accurate.

I've been interested in the Royal Orient movements. Too bad they go for a shit ton of money compared to old seikos. You'd think that because the west doesn't know about the high end orients it would be less, but it isn't so.
