Sorry to hear that Chad

>This is where things went south. Make no mistake these boots fit, but the pattern and last is so unrefined that it probably closely resembles the unaltered block of wood that it was made from. Blocky in places that it shouldn’t be, when these boots are placed next to each other it can be a little difficult to determine which is Right boot vs Left boot. The fit is really odd.

>This issue is not exclusive to Jakkrabbits. My Sagara (and a pair of my Blkbrds) have the same issue, but am 0-2 with ID makers using lasts that resemble anything anatomical. Another thing that doesn’t help is that many ID brands will not do half sizes.

>When there are discussions about the price tag of makers like C&J, Alden, Trickers, etc, you have to acknowledge that part of that cost is the refinement of the lasts and the work that went into creating them. This pair is a prime example, there is no doubt in my mind that the talented team at Jakkrabbits put in some work to build these and it comes across on the details. However they need to take a look at the lasts and do a little more refinement, in my opinion.

>I’m glad I got this pair, they do fit but they have helped me decide that this might be the last pair I get from ID (at least in this model). There are other makers like JLB/Whites/Nicks that make a good LTT, and I’ve got my eyes set on a pair of Black CXL Nicks next.
