I didn't want to blow a lot of cash going in. This is my first bike since 1991. I didn't even know if I still knew how to ride a bike or if I would even enjoy it as much as I did when I was a kid. Better not to go all No. 22 straight away and then end selling it on Craigslist if I decide it's not for me. I can always build the frame up with better parts later on.

>frame too big

The frame is size "Xtra Small" for people from 4 12" - 5 4". I'm about 5'6" (on a good day) and size "Small" is for people from 5 3" - 5 8". Remembering riding my old brother's larger bike when I was younger, the bike felt unwieldly. So I went on Reddit to ask some experts and they told me to size down and get the smaller of the two. It feels like it's "just right".
