They're not quite as good as you think. I've seen a Malchert irl before and while it is worth it, I don't see it as extra worth it compared to a GS or Nomos in terms of "beating the system", they're just different.

Also, the only thing that should try to impress watch nerds is watch companies, customers shouldn't try to spend money just to do that.
