timberlands are shit. military combat boots are not really the greatest for outdoors/hiking mainly because of their weight. I would check out salomons. Pick related. fully murdered out so they can still be ef/fa/y if pulled off correctly. Salomons really have some of the most comfiest shoes out there, with little to no breaking in.

Are salomon XA pro mid blackout boots good for techwear? They are lined with goretex, and org meant for trail running, do you think they would be acceptable for techwear/riotcore?
