Not too much trouble, but black/kinky hair has crazy variety, and different things work for different people. Aside from an overall decent/healthy lifestyle, no overwashing or combing, keep your routine simple, and use common sense. For example, My hair doesn't retain water well, has a silky texture, and my scalp has the tendency to get dry and irritated; so washing frequently is terrible for me. I need to deep condition once in while and let my hair do it's thing. Simple as that. I'm personally about to stop using shampoos and conditioners too.
