Not everyone will share the sentiment although I like the idea behind early tattoos being of ones achievements or perhaps of animals you've seen or places you've been. While others appear to be medicinal and associated with shamanism/proto-religion. I'm really not in favor of ink just for the sake of showing off.

The practice of tattooing is a twelve thousand years old custom. Only weenies care about whether or not people should have them. Your opinion is unpopular and shared by few. Youre entitled to that opinion. Just saying no one cares except you.
