Ever seen any /fa/ homeless people? On my way to class, I have to pass by an area that's basically 75% homeless people since it's the only place they can camp out near. I saw a black guy wearing waxed skinny jeans and some really nice looking brogues. Too bad he was sagging them down to his thighs and some tourists were making fun of him.

this is what's considered fashion at my school. they were in the newspaper and everything.

I've found nothing but crap at the local goodwill here, but the salvation army here is pretty good. I'm a bit surprised that every time I go there's always something good like gant or a lot of trad. stuff that's decent. It's also one of those places that hasn't been taken over by middle school illipinos like savers has.

here's what I do:

at the beginning of a season, make a list of essential cops. so for f/w this year you might really need to get your hands on rafdidas, a parka, some jeans, whatever.

determine another amount (based on your budget and how much you want to save) that will be spent on random shit, sale items, "limited" items, etc.

alternatively, you could just put away a certain amount of your paycheck into a savings account and forget about it. if you use direct deposit, talk to the people that handle it at your work, and have them split your paycheck up automatically.

ultimately, tho, it comes down to self control. also once you've been "in the game" for awhile, you realize nothing is really as cool as it seems. I mean what did everyone on /fa/ hype up a few f/w's ago? "timeless" pieces like pea coats and desert boots. no so cool now huh?

Do they ask you to show ID when you buy something with a card? I guess I was a little "off" today and I was wearing a backpack and didn't comb my hair, so when I paid for a jacket they asked me to show ID first. This is probably the second time anyone has ever asked for ID, the first time was at a radioshack when I went to buy some card.
