Frankly I can't think of a bigger cope than "muh Speedmaster went to the moon!!".
Not because of the competition against Rolex (I mean lets be real... Omega is like 5 times smaller than Rolex, and Cartier is now ahead of them sales-wise), but because of the state of modern Omega.
The company that built the moonwatch simply doesn't exist anymore. The continuity has been broken several times during Omega's history and what remained of the original company died in the late 90s. Swatch inherited Omega's name and patents, and has turned the brand into a parody of its former self.

I actually love the Speedmaster's design (I prefer the '57 version, with the broad arrow hands) but I don't want to be associated with Swatch in any way. They can't even make proper reissues of their old models for fuck's sake...

They're very faithful to the Moonwatch (4th generation of the Speedmaster).
But for some reasons they keep fucking up the original 1957 reissues (which happens to be my favorite). Instead of the original 6 oclock subdial they've put a date window (?) and that cringe "CO AXIAL CHRONOMETER" text. Also faux luminova.
