That would work. I found my dermatologist by asking my city's subreddit for suggestions. Google also helps.

I was in the same situation. I didn't have disgusting neckbeard level acne, but I would get enough for it to be noticeable and distracting. Plus, I would pop them to get rid of the white/blackheads, which left red marks all over my face. They won't all disappear overnight, but I've been on some prescription shit for 2 weeks now and I've seen some p convincing results. My skin is a tad flaky and red, but i no longer have nasty black and whitehead infested puffy red skin. It's smoother and looks a lot nicer, so I don't mind the side effects.

Never tried this, but every otc kit I used either didn't do shit or made my skin worse.

Just go to a dermatologist. I have health insurance and it only cost ~$35. It wasn't embarrassing or anything. It feels good knowing that I'm doing something about it instead of pussying out.
