started IF about year and a half ago? i had been doing IF without knowing it for a long time though; i frequently forgot to eat and then i would near-frantically try to eat my entire day's calorie limit at one meal (i'm underweight and getting enough calories is an issue for me), which people told me was unhealthy and weird at the time. i started keto earlier this year after learning i was gluten-sensitive and how bad sugar and processed foods are (i mean everyone knows they're bad but i didn't know quite how bad); was also interested in not feeling tired from carbs.

at first, 1-day and 2-day fasts were unintentional because i'm forgetful, but then i discovered i liked how good it made me feel. it's a bit like a high; i have an addictive personality. i know people report feeling awful the first few days of a fast but i think IF + keto in particular mitigate that, because i haven't had that experience. i did a few 5-day fasts before attempting this, and i try to be mindful of not overdoing it (which i'm prone to; i don't feel hunger on fasts after first day or two and it's never intense) with long breaks in between fasts. i don't think i want to go more than 10 days because i don't want to lose that much weight.
