New Zealand is the fucking worst place to thrift. It's all run by hipsters for hipsters, so everything that's remotely nice is marked up like fucking crazy. It's pretty much better to buy shit new. Also there's never any designer/big brand stuff, and even if there is the store owners generally know it and price it accordingly.

Having said that though, walked away today with three flannel-y things (two jackets and a shirt) and one denim Hard Rock Cafe shirt that was $7 at the red cross. Only thing is it's obviously too big for me so I can hardly ever wear it.

Anyone in Auckland ever had success thrifting?
