Can't really say too much about hunting, but for logging, this certification makes sense. A falling tree is about as deadly as a gun, so it makes sense that we only hand this to people who know what they're doing.
I mean, you wouldn't want every retard to buy a gun at the supermarket, that would just fuck up your country, so it's right to not let every retard fell a tree.
