Quartz gang or whoever:
I got a $5 shipped from china bracelet that goes well enough with my 70's seiko grand twin quartz. Problem is both are sleezecore gold.
Not that sleeze is the issue, it's just that the new presumably pvd'd bracelet is much too yellow compared with the nearly 50yr old watch case which has worn down to a more mellow, paler gold.

Anyone ITT know of a way to lighten the chinesium gold such that it better matches?
Maybe I'll ask in /diy/ too though I've not been to that board as since it was first created and don't know how it is over there.
I was wondering if a scouring sponge or a capecod cloth might do the trick somehow. Any ideas?
