i wanna recommend these Corcoran 985s, too, for anybody who's lookin' for cool and comfy boots. there's zero break-in time for 'em, and they're extremely comfy right outta the box. the zippers in case you paratroop out of a plane and break or sprain your ankle on landing. they run large - i wear size US 10, and size 9.5 in these fit me perfectly.

Corcorans are the absolute gold standard. Period. There's nothing clunky or chunky about them at all. I'm tall skelly-mode and have them for years - they're fucking ideal, and I've easily received more compliments on them than on any other article of clothing I've ever owned. The 985s with lug sole and side zippers are my favorites. Ignore the children here who describe them as clown shoes, because they have zero knowledge of what they're talking about. And too, there are other variations for people who don't like the side zippers
