Alright lads, it's time for one of these threads.

I'm really considering doing this, I have the jacket and a local store sells the dye.

How do I do it? Will the heat fuck the water proofing?

People recommend the pre 2005 for dying as it has more cotton. Personally dylon has been shit for me, I would recommend 2x iDye Poly and 2x regular iDye even though I only did 2x iDye Poly. But try both and see what works.

Depends on the amount of dye. I used two packs, and mine is pitch black.

If you use lesser amounts, the camo will remain visible, but it's kinda hard to dose. Most people here seem to like this version more.

The pattern will always be visible on night-vision goggles, no matter the dye though.

parka can be had for 30ish in original colors. Dying is cheap.

What's the best way to dye a 80/20 poly cotton blend black?

So I want to dye a Flecktarn parka black, but what dye would be the best? And also would I be able to dye it other colors like green or navy?
