/fa/ - Fashion

On /fa/, the word started as a forced meme. The archive is showing the earliest posts containing the word are from April of last year.

I was previously against its use and have rarely used it, but I've watched it take on a certain meaning for this board and fulfill a certain purpose. Generally speaking, it is used as an insult, though, as far as I can tell from its use, it's come to describe a demographic possessing a number of characteristics:
>trend-hopping
>brand-whoring
>lack of independent style
>cookie-cutter outfits copied from the internet
>frequent shitposting ("I-I only come to /fa/ to shitpost! I-I a-actually have a life outside of th-this pl-place, unlike y-you guys!")
>excessive concern over looking good
>apathy towards important issues

This is one of poet's older posts and, IMO, one of his bests about how "STEM types" often shit on attempts to look good as "being vain". But for the "fuccboi", the inverse is true. He has actually become so obsessed with the idea of being "/fa/" that he has lost sight of things like his ability to socialize, his ability to think at any level other than the surface, and his moral compass. The important thing is to master many disciplines.

There isn't really a comprehensive sticky for /fa/ because fashion is more personality bound, and making a sticky like that makes you look dressed by the internet.
Reddits' Male Fashion Advice (from now on MFA) has these info-graphics and it's painfully obvious when someone has read all of those and a day later bought a new wardrobe.
You need to lurk on these forums a bit to get an idea of how YOU want to dress, the very basics are at least handled in the sticky if I'm not mistaken.

My own go to basic-bitch uniform is this:
Black Doc Martens 1461s or Adidas Plimcanas
Black, slim jeans
Some solid color shirt,T-shirt or sweater
Depending on the weather a Harrington, an olive army jacket/parka or a black parka.
