are sub $500 automatic watches accurate?

I had an skx007 diver at one point but it seemed to be slow by a minute everyday where at the end of the week I was like 10mins behind.

did I get a dud watch or should I just not expect much from cheaper automatics or is this really the norm with these automatics?

thinking of getting pic related or a sarb.
