My front hair line has been hurting for around a month, I thought it was going to go away but now my patience is ending and hair has also receded about 1 cm. I don't have bangs or anything girls use there, I just let it grow for 2 years without cutting any of it and usually part it in the middle (my hair was always short before, never reached shoulder length, where I'm at now). Should I cut it (Mom says it's because of the hair weight, don't know if true or momscience) or this sounds like a visit to the doctor? I love my current hair but I also like some of the pics ITT.

Pic related is a shampoo I bought but didn't work, at least after the first couple of uses.
