usually money isnt ridiculously tight for most ppl, but come fuckin on you're telling me that most ppl can EASILY just blow $500+ on a pair of sneakers? i dont fuckin think so

and while you do raise a good point that most ppl could just slowly save up for an authentic version of whatever theyre looking for by throwing a few bucks here and there every month, the fact is you'd be saving for quite a while until you have the dosh to get the authentic version of whatever you're looking for,
and since most ppl on this board usually want more than just one and only one piece, that means you'd constantly be having to save on months and months at a time, when you could very easily get most everything you want as replica for about the same price as one authentic piece, and not have to save for months at a time

its simple economics, most ppl dont want to have to pay 3-5 or 6x the price on something they can get for cheaper if they only want the look or design of, esp in a shit economy like today

and because of my creativity and enjoyment in making things, as well as the refusal to pay overpriced pieces, im slowly starting to make and design my own clothes, and i think you're starting to see more of that because of overpriced pieces
