I'm afraid your information is inaccurate. The original twin-turbo that made it through production and testing still exists...that's one of the ones I've driven (#502); they weren't 'destroyed'. DMC had extra parts for the turbo as well before they went under, which is why others began to surface after the company went under as they were constructed by enthusiasts. Much has happened since then, of course, but Delorean history gets murky as time goes by. Have you driven a normal Delorean before Anon?

>>18077927
It's essentially perfect, as always. I wore it yesterday!

I wish; the wobble is my hands shaking...lol That's why you shouldn't drink...

>>17971270
It does, if the camera is stable. You can see it on any YouTuber who has reviewed it in their videos, which are higher quality by far than mine. Those watches perform identically; they should, given that the hand placement is adjusted for every second by a technician to make sure they all line up.

Excellent; it's a great watch, and it looks sharp in your pics. It's busy-good, but there hasn't been much time for reflection. Such is life.

Quite honestly, I don't know. It has a brick bracelet which looks a little worse than the Omega one, and I have no idea what they mean by, 'the heritage is obvious'...what the hell does that even mean? What an odd ad...like the Japanese translation was botched or something.

>>17915200
Good to see you Citizen-Chad. Keeping well? I wish I had a coin or two to post...but I never really collected them. Is the stiletto running well as always?

Flashlights; the astronauts relied on them. No need for the tachymetre to be lumed, as you're not timing distance to calculate speed. Lumed tachymetre bezels, while looking awesome, are almost illegible in the dark after the first 2 minutes.

>>17851975
Agreed, but even in those cases, why wear a watch at all? Gloves would have to cover them, or the wrist straps on the gloves would get in the way of the watch. Better to use a pocket watch in those scenarios anyway.

>>17851979
It depends on the watch. Omegas are easy to reach usually...but new Zeniths can be a pain in the ass.

>>17852006
YOU USED MY PIC!!! AWESOME!!!!! The guy in it is almost as muscular as me.

If the movement is finished to a high degree, then the labour cost alone contributes to some of the price. Exclusivity, branding, design, and relative scarcity probably make up the rest.

>>17620569
Both look great on you; Panerais tend to look better in 'standing in a mirror' shots rather than shots close on wrist. I enjoy Panerais, though the older ones were better. The problem is that it can be very difficult to determine authenticity with older ones. If you love this one, buy it.

>>17620610
If you desire a Rolex, then definitely save up. OPs are not going to be unobtainium for much longer, and in some areas the 'waiting list' is a week to a month. Tissot is generally good, but Longines would be better in that price range. Hell, even consider Frederique Constant.

>>17620638
Of course. If you love it and have the funds, why not?

>>17620666
The old 111 is excellent; just make sure it's authentic.

>>17620671
They are basic and rough, but in that era of 90s to 2000s, they were a different kind of 'luxury'. By today's standards, they're simple, but back then, the design was iconic. There are very few watch brands which can be easily and accurately identified from across the room. Panerai is one of them, Rolex (and Rolex fakes) is the other. That visual recognition is worth something from a design point of view.

>>17620739
Good weekend, LawyerAnon. Hope all is well.

>>17620759
It might not be noticeable when it's on wrist....you never know until you try it on.

>>17620822
Hello.

>>17620890
They're a legit brand, with best-in-price-category finishing of exteriors, dial, and hands. I think the spring drive is fun to look at, and their general quality level is great aside from the bracelets. I don't know how easy it is to have them serviced outside of Japan though. Also, their design language doesn't speak to me at all, so I find their watches ugly. Such is life.

Longines.
Breitling, but it was tough...had to think about that.

Correct. They are behind in the came, so they are playing catcuhup to everyone else. That's why Bremond will always suck. shit.

I remember when fakes were everywhere decades ago. The movements were shit, they looked fake to people who had the real thing, but to everyone else, they looked real. The function is the same today though: to appear to have the status required to own the real watch for the purposes of gaining any social benefit of that status without actually having anything.

>>17594866
I read your name as 'Repent-Thusiast'....lol The final days are coming...

>>17594887
I find bracelets are easier to clean, and definitely better in salt water. Yes, I dive, but haven't in many years (since before Covid). Leather straps, or any strap really, help display the watch head better, so if the case has an interesting shape or nice lugs, leather looks excellent. It's a waste on a Rolex case though.

>>17595038
Nice! How are they running? That Seiko diver looks really cool.

>>17595097
That's the intent of lots of fakes though; to replace as many fake parts with genuine parts without actually buying a genuine watch. If you had a gen. midcase, crystal, dial, handset, crown, and bracelet, could anyone tell that the watch was fake? For that alone, a 10k watch could be had for around 3k, and the only one who would know that it's fake is you and your watchmaker. It's a little sad though...

>>17595107
Wait for me!!!

>>17595203
High school philosophy question. The answer lies in how 'real' or 'genuine' is defined. With vintage watches, no one cares if movement parts are replaced due to wear and tear to keep the watch running...but god forbid you replace a crown or pushers.

>>17595208
THEY MAKE REPLICAS OF DANIEL FUCKING WELLINGTON??? LOL Why do I think this is a psy-op by Daniel Wellington to increase the perceived desirability of their own watches?

>>17595258
Higher end HAQ watches will have the second-hand perfectly aligned. My Citizen 0100 (pic related) is like that, and high-end Grand Seikos do that too. So, it's possible but costly.
>>17595347

Sometimes; I switch out the Speedies onto this, the Forstner Champion, a leather strap, or the standard bracelets. This one is comfy; I hate Nato straps normally.

None. It's a great watch, though not very accurate in timekeeping. This one is better. (pic related)

Your sentence doesn't make sense. What are you criticizing? Was it the watch I was talking about (i.e. 7750-based Omegas)? Was it the pic of my watch I posted? Was it the perspective of watch-buying?
