in fact, if you look really closely you can actually see the grain on that fabric
these rick skorts are also biased and the grain is really obvious

what kills me, with mass market garments, is how efficient they are. no fabric wasted. like, come on man, is fashion is made of fabric then more fabric = more fashion, that's so obvious

part of the reason im so in love with these silly little skorts is that they use an obscene amount of fabric. they're cut in only two pieces, which are folded, and then folded from the front and back skirt panel into the short legs. it's incredibly wasteful, just the way luxury should be.

ur legs r fine man shavin is reserved for twinks imo

btw i was thinkin bout tackling the lotus skort as a drafting challenging but i'm not sure how to approach the side seams
i mean i can see the way that they are constructed, the actual structural seam is biased between the legs and the skirt panels wrap backwards to become the legs
whats throwin me for a loop is that the side seams are floating in free space, so i figure you can just mark em with notches but how do you sew em accurately? like did the seamsters just count out stitches all the way down? you couldn't notch the end of the seam because there isn't actually any allowance
pls respond
