Double Edge razor, also known as a safety razor. It's what your grandpa would have used. They have replaceable razor blades making them a lot cheaper and environmentally friendly. The shaving piece itself will last basically forever because it's pretty much just a few pieces of steel. I inherited my grandfathers and it probably still works as well as the day he bought it. You can buy packs of 100 razor blades for $20. Each blade can work well for at least 2 shaves meaning you can get more than a year out of what you'd get from the same amount of money using todays standard method of shaving.

Beyond that it's a no bullshit approach to shaving. No need for a 10 blade supershave, 'soothing' aloe vera strips or 'clinically proven' hydration method. It's a simple, cheap alternative to the bullshit Gillette will try and sell you for way too much.

It does take a bit of practice and there's a high chance you will cut yourself the first few attempts, but after a week or two you'll find it much better than any other way.
