a simple rugged 3 handed watch meant to be worn in the outdoors/battlefield, with big, easy to read arabic numerals. 24 hr military markings are usually present as well, along with some lume (but usually not as strong as divers'). Traditional field watches are also on the smaller side so as not to get in the way of anything. A dull/matte/brushed finish on the case is preferred, along with usable water resist.
