Imagine that you live your life like a regular person going on with your stuff until the day when you inevitably die. When you die technology has come to a point that they can preserve your being, your self, your consciousness into a hardrive of some sort but technology can't, yet, create a bodily vessel for you. 200 years pass and you are awaken, everything you know its gone or dead, your caretakers inform you that is time that you choose a physical representation, a body.
