not necessarily. some trousers are designed to sit at the hip. low rise pants, they are a relatively modern invention that derived from early 2000's womenswear and they suck ass. you can never tuck your shirt in them.

nowadays it's rather difficult to find good mid or high rise pants. but they still exist.

yes but 100% cotton "true" stonewash jeans have a sort of grain or texture that skinny spandex-infused semi-denim doesn't have. it's difficult to explain but the difference is definitely there.
