Do people who dress in a "scene" way make you sick? I'm talking Greasers, Punks, Skinheads, Goths, all of them. You hear shit like punk is a commodity all the time, how a group of identically dressed people isn't counter culture at all, but the anti-thesis of counter culture. Putting on your doc martens and braces doesn't make you anti-fashion because of the ideals behind that way of dress, your still subscribing to a hive-mind notion of identity and using fashion as a means to portray that identity.

So do scenesters try to be anti-/fa/, only to end up trying as hard as they can to be /fa/ and failing hard because they all look the same? Is joining a clique a fashion nightmare?

I hope I've articulated my thoughts well enough, use this thread to discuss scenecore and the repercussions of dressing it.

Shame because I like the simple greaser look and the attitude fits me (love my bike); but I don't walk to become a walking cliche'
