I have a new pair of really nappy suede shoes, how can I best preserve the feel and color? I figure waxing and oiling would destroy the texture so I was looking into water-based sprays (nikwax unless someone knows of a better one), but should I do anything else besides use that, brush it regularly, and carry a suede eraser for stains?
