For dress socks, I wear over the calf from Marcoliani and Pantherella. I also have a few pairs from Etro, but that isn't really a sockmaker. I've heard good things about Sozzi socks but I've yet to try a pair. For more semi-dress socks, I like Corgi and New & Lingwood. I call these semi-dress because the patterns can be a little too spicy for really formal use. For these and the previously mentioned over the calf socks, I tend to buy a bunch in sales periods where they often can often be had for 50% off.

For casual socks, I really like Japanese Chup socks. Top quality stuff.
