I make more than you can ever dream of making. I buy reps because buying a gen would be stupid, nobody can tell the difference and everyone knows I'm rich, nobody would question if my watches are real. Obviously the intelligent decision (you know, the type of decisions that I make correctly which is why I am rich and why you are terminal middle class) is to buy the watch for $400 instead of $15k for an identical outcome. The only people that care about rep vs gens are middle class Erics that can just barely afford (or really not afford and go into debt for) a gen watch because they live in a terminal authenticity crisis. We all know these Erics, they are sales managers, live in $600k houses in prefab HOAs in the 2nd nicest part of the suburbs, drive leased Audis, really I can't imagine a worse life. At least poor people don't have anything to lose, and of course being rich is great, but being barely middle class and still trying to keep up, and trying to get luxury goods in the mix?
