go take a look at how any actually good designers style their colors and do color blocking. from heritage to avant-garde.

Then take a look at how the designers who do the elongated silhouette do the elongated silhouette. (ann rick etc achieve it in different ways)

Then go to Zara or arwhateverthefuck and feel the clothes and put them on. Then buy actual designer clothes and feel and put them on.

The eye is supposed to follow a pattern. The clothes are supposed to be complimentary to this pattern in structure, hue, saturation, drape etc. In almost all editorial styling it does. This is where "silhouettes" or "palettes" come in. The length between the shirts and how they're the exact same is incredibly tacky.

There is an amount of subjectivity to it, but theres a reason there are color theory classes and the like.

Usually people who've worn a lot of these clothes or lurked a long time see certain things that may not readily be apparent.

There's too much to type and i'm pretty well done here.
