Many Hong Kong natives would disagree with you, quite angrily at times. I've been corrected by more than one. Many of them are still quite proud of their British ties and the unique economic climate of a country that only reverted to Chinese rule in 1997. Hong Kong is the land of Biz, and its dollar is one of the top 10 traded currencies. Or was. I heven't read up on it in a dog's age.
