is it weird to have a bit of a boot obsession?

I have like 6 pairs of boots now. Friends and family have started to ask if I am starting a boot collection and they think its kind of funny

I spend everyday cleaning, brushing down and polishing them and leather conditioning them.

I watch endless videos on youtube about boots

Also, is there a way to make black polish permanently stay on my boots? It seems like after one day at work the polish on the tips of my boots are gone and its gone back to a mucky grey colour.

From left to right Clarks brogue boots, London Brogue Chelsea boots and some vintage Canadian army boots, made in 1985 I believe which I wear for work.
