so i was the anon who was asking about a mayak a few threads back (1950s soviet watch). It lacked the "Made in CCCP" marker present in other references which threw me off. Also the watch looked way too new for its age somehow, the caseback was near mint too. In any case I had asked seller to reserve it for me for the time being.

an ukrainian anon here said it was likely a frankenwatch made out of disassembled pieces and he wouldnt pay more than $30 for it

but i was still intrigued, so I went to WUS to ask the russian forum, and some guy dug up a old catalogue showing it was possible for it to happen. (not having the country of manufacture marker). Another person chimed in to say that the hands have been relumed as the lume discolouration didnt match the pips. This the seller did not disclose, in previous correspondence with the seller he assured me "everything is original".

TL:DR it was all too shady for the vibes so I pulled out of buying, its not a lot of money but it would bug me to no end not knowing how "honest" the watch really is

If a dial does not have this line at the bottom, is there a possibility that its legit?

Im looking to buy this vintage watch (far left), but it lacks the made in CCCP mark that other examples have (middle and right)

anyone have any idea? the seller assured me everything is original, and the movement etc all that checks out except this small detail
